The system of automatic tram location and control (SNRT 2000), which is operated in Warsaw, includes radio communication with all trams (over 450). Control center is equipped with computer system, which displays location of all trams in movement along with deviations from timetable. SNRT2000 system includes also communication with four tram depots, where have been installed Wi-Fi network to automatically transfer data to and from vehicular units.

SNRT2000 gives:

• graphical presentation of trams location on the map
• two-way voice communication by radio between drivers and dispatcher
• sending and answering alert announcements

• automatic calculation of deviation from timetable and sending it to the control center
• displaying to driver information such as: current time and deviation from timetable and messages from the control center
